“This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15)
When we disobey God, we are given a chance to repent, to return to God and finding rest through surrendering ourselves to him. This is not a sign of weakness, but of deep faith. God’s strength is most clearly experienced when we stop relying on ourselves and begin relying fully on him. A quiet trust is a powerful testimony in a noisy world that is capable of causing high amounts of stress.
Take time to trust and to be still before God, and surrender your need to control outcomes, choosing quiet confidence in his wisdom and timing.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to trust in you in all circumstances. I pray that I can have quiet confidence in you, and to be at peace with myself, others, and with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
