“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)

Relying on our own strength and insight is limited.  I have discovered that numerous times.  Whenever I am wanting to pursue a new interest, hobby, skill, or anything that requires a change, I know it is wise to seek the counsel of the one who has our best interests in mind.

I am now convinced more than ever that God knows you and me more than we know ourselves!  After all, he is the one who created us and made us the unique individuals we are.  Therefore, if we look at the one who knows us very well, we will get a good indication of how, when, and if we should go about making our plans.  Our trust and faith in our Creator goes a long way toward doing the right thing.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for looking out after me.  Your infinite wisdom is far above anything I am capable of, so I ask that you remind me to always rely on you.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
