“He has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)

Wouldn’t the world be a much better place if we all just strived to live according to these words of wisdom?  As we know, other things get in the way of letting this happen.  Pride, selfishness, and greed are among the major factors which detract us from the way of life that God wants us to choose.

But there’s hope; hope for all who desire to abide in the Lord.  Changes within don’t always happen overnight, and our patient Lord works within us to help make those changes happen.  We’ve just got to quiet ourselves before God and ask for his help.  As we make a commitment to the Lord, every day we are in the process of being shaped and molded into the people we were meant to be.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I cannot change without your help.  I acknowledge your almighty power, working within to help me.  Thank you for your patience.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
