“In everything do to others as you would have them do to you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7:12)

     Jesus understood everything from a divine yet human perspective.  This Golden Rule tells us that we should be highly considerate of the feelings of other people, to put away dishonor and selfishness.  Wouldn’t it be great if we could all do that?  I know it sounds a bit unrealistic, but why not let it start with us?  If we have the love of God within, we are aware of how to treat people with love, kindness, and respect.  And when we do that, it goes a long way toward changing lives for the better, because we have set the right example through the way we live.

Prayer: Dear Lord, teach us your ways.  Teach us the things we should hold dear to our hearts and help us to live out our faith in you every day.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
