“While God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will have the world judged in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31)

     Everyone is asked to repent, and our righteous judge is willing to forgive us of our sins, allowing us to move on with our lives.  Furthermore, he has shown us that there is life after death because of his own resurrection, giving us knowledge that it can happen with us.  God, in his infinite wisdom, has made it possible for us to be secure and confident in our life right now, and also in the life to come.  Thanks be to God, who provides all that we need, and more.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we acknowledge the fact that you did it all for us.  We are thankful for the sacrifice you made on the cross, a selfless act for the sake of all who truly repent.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
