“Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world, holding forth the word of life so that I can boast on the day of Christ that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.” (Philippians 2:14-16)

     As children of God, our mission is to do as much good as possible, representing Christ in all that we do.  We can give people hope and an opportunity to take on a new way of life which shuns the works of darkness.  People have got to know that God loves them and is seeking them, inviting them into his kingdom.  This kingdom is not a physical structure, but it is a kingdom which gives us the ability to have peace within.  We are forgiven sinners, knowing there is so much more to life than we realized in the past.

     Jesus said, “I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) Let’s maintain our integrity while gaining wisdom from God, because there is a great amount of deception out there.  God is with us, and there is no need to fear.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I pray that my heart is in the right place, depending on your wisdom at all times and in all situations.  I know that people need you, and I want to be a good example for your honor and glory.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
