Wait for the Lord;  be strong, and let your heart take courage;

    wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)

     Given our modern technology, we have been accustomed to quick results.  The microwave oven is one gadget that has often produced quick meals.  The computer gives us quick answers when we go to Google and ask questions, unless our computer is running slow for some reason, and then we get impatient.

    When we look for answers to prayer, we are often required to wait, and it is easy to be impatient if we have to wait for those answers.  But this is a command, “Wait for the Lord.”

     God’s timing often requires us to wait, so I try not to be impatient, as difficult as it is.  I’ve seen answers to prayer in the past after long periods of waiting, so I just know that answers to prayers now and in the future may still require waiting, so let’s keep the faith and know that God is always listening and responding with his perfect sense of timing.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you know my heartfelt prayers.  Although I am still waiting for an answer to many of these prayers, I trust in you, knowing that in due time, you will provide the best answer.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
