“But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole,
and by his bruises we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

Any time I start to question the validity of scripture, the reality of God, and the reason Jesus was born into this world, all I have to do is look at the prophecies which existed centuries before the birth of Christ.  The entire Bible tells the story of how God has planned these events from the beginning.

Aside from reason and proof we find in scripture, we can testify to the power of God and how he works in our present day, and in our personal lives.  Just consider how our lives have changed when we gave our hearts to him.  When we put our trust and faith in him, we have the Holy Spirit living within, and it empowers us, so that we can look to the present and future with great expectation.  God is with us, and he has not changed.  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

Prayer: Dear Lord, you have given us a solid foundation for our faith.  I pray that we will cling to your promises, and for others to know the reality of your love for them.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
