“Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12)
Trials and tribulations in the life of a Christian refines our trust and dependence on the Lord. The difficulties and dangers that we face in our everyday life are inevitable. We can choose to hold fast to our faith instead of letting the enemy sow seeds of doubt.
Our troubles can be used as a catalyst to strengthen our trust in God as we persevere in his sufficient strength, which brings honor to our Father in heaven and an eternal reward for those who patiently endure.
We do not have the capacity to stand on our own, but Christ has promised that his grace is sufficient. It is imperative that we are rooted and grounded in Christ. This will give us what we need as we face those troubles, because our confidence in God will not be shaken. Let’s thank God for his goodness and grace as we seek to hold fast to his promises.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I pray that I will always remember your sufficient grace, because it is enough to carry me through even the most difficult times. Your blessings and love for me are more than I could hope or imagine. Thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen
