“But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

The Lord provides strength and endurance to get through so many of our challenges.  At the end of each year, I can look back and say that the year was not “uneventful.” This past year was no exception; enough to write a book, but that’s not my intention!  I just know that turning to God in all situations--good, bad, and in-between, gives us what we need to carry on and cope with any difficulties.  It also gives us an appreciation for all of the blessings, and there are many.  We have such a good God, and we can look forward to another year because “If God is for us, who is against us?” (Romans 8:31)

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for another year in which there have been many blessings, and also times when I have been challenged.  With your strength, you have carried me through, and I give you all of the credit.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
